We were hired by Davies in 2023 to develop their ESG strategy. Following a flurry of recent acquisition activity, the global business was growing fast and ESG performance was coming into focus for regulators and key clients.
Our strategy playbook is efficient and robust, beginning with stakeholder engagement, an ESG audit, materiality analysis, and finally framework development. We consulted with groups across the complex business to develop an ESG ambition and strategy that all parties were excited about.
A core Eaglesfield deliverable is a practical implementation plan. Recommendations included hiring a permanent ESG lead to enhance ESG governance, developing a suite of targets to maintain accountability and delivering the company's first ESG report to launch the strategy in early 2024.
Alongside the strategy and implementation, Eaglesfield undertook a number of key projects: A recommendation and management plan to raise Davies' EcoVadis score (a key client requirement), urgently delivering the company's first TCFD climate disclosure report, embedding a carbon data analyst for several months to collate and report GHG emissions at a global level to ISO 14064-1:2018, and maintaining compliance across environmental disclosures.
In response to rapid growth and increased stakeholder requirements, we brought Eaglesfield in to raise our ESG maturity. Eaglesfield audited our capabilities, engaged stakeholders across the business and assessed material issues to deliver a robust ESG strategy and multi-year implementation plan for Davies, alongside a 10-point EcoVadis improvement, community investment recommendations, recommendations for a new ESG governance structure and a number of projects such as TCFD reporting and our SBTi commitment.
Eaglesfield were instrumental in delivering Davies’ first annual ESG report and in developing our global emissions measurement processes to ISO standards following a number of acquisitions. 18 months later, we continue to work with Eaglesfield on ad hoc projects and know we can rely on their expertise across ESG.
